In late 2009 the directors and the management team undertook a series of workshops and meetings to refresh our strategic plan and confirm the future direction of the business.
In reflecting where we had come from it was noted that our turnover had almost tripled in the previous five years from $11 Million in 2003/2004 to $32 Million in financial year 08/09. This growth has created many challenges for the business, however we believe we are now well placed to cement our position as a premium ‘middle tier’ civil infrastructure company in Queensland.
Indeed our vision for the future is simply:-
“TO BE AUSTRALIA’S LEADER IN THE CREATION OF OUTSTANDING COMMUNITY ASSETS”
The management team re-affirmed its commitment to our mission of “ exceeding expectations in the safe and innovative delivery of infrastructure projects whilst maintaining our family culture and core values of professionalism, honesty, integrity and reliability”.
It is important to know that these words are considered a true reflection of who we are, what we do and the way in which we do it. We appreciate and value the role many have played in maintaining the values of the organisation through the extraordinary growth of the past few years.
The goals of the company moving forward are built on a foundation of three critical strategic pillars being “Our People”, “Our Relationships”, and “Our Sustainability”.
We intend to be:
Again the words are important as they articulate the key areas of the business upon which the management team will be concentrating as we move forward.
It is especially worth noting that “Our People” were deemed our first priority and during the meetings it was clear that the safety and well being of our people was foremost in the thoughts of all the management team.
The strategic plan has been developed by the management team to ensure that the best characteristics of the organisation are encapsulated and promoted as valuable assets to the business.
Key Strategies have been developed to articulate how we intend to address key issues and key success factors in order to achieve these goals.
