Strategy 1
Embed a safety culture of striving to achieve zero harm at all levels across all our business activities.
- Ensure safety is embedded in all skills development.
- Achieve best practice safety indicators
- Ensure all workers are capable of carrying out their allotted duties.
Strategy 2
Provide a fulfilling and productive working environment that meets individual needs and expectations, promotes empowerment, responsibility and accountability, rewards effort, demands mutual respect and maintains a life/work balance.
- Provide recognition and positive encouragement on an ongoing basis.
- Create opportunities for formal and informal staff conversations and performance reviews.
- Monitor and review work loads and fatigue.
Strategy 3
Promote continuous learning and skills development to build our organisational capacity and create a fully accredited, multi-skilled and sustainable workforce.
- Prepare and implement annual training plans for all staff.
- Undertake continuous workforce planning.
- Prepare project specific training plans addressing 10% Training policy and local employment initiatives.
Strategy 4
Develop and maintain internal communication processes to ensure information is shared accurately and effectively throughout the organisation.
- Maintain regular meetings at all levels across all of the business operations.
- Embrace technology to aid communication.
- Ensure project prestart, internal site and toolbox meetings are occuring on a regular basis.
