It is with a great deal of pleasure that I welcome you to our website.

McIlwain Civil has become a significant contributor to the delivery of Queensland’s infrastructure through its direct involvement in a diverse range of civil engineering projects. Company turnover in this financial year is expected to reach thirty million dollars.

McIlwain Civil is privileged to be in a position to create sustainable community assets for a diverse client base whilst retaining the core values entrenched in the organisation by its founder Arthur McIlwain.

The company has been in operation for nearly fifty years and whilst innovation and technological change are the key drivers for any business the ‘family values’ ingrained in the organisation play a fundamental role in our ongoing success. The outstanding contribution of our staff to this success cannot be understated and their loyalty over many years is acknowledged and valued.

Continuous learning and development is a key business strategy of McIlwain Civil and the body of knowledge contained within the organisation enables us to deliver a diverse and complex range of projects.

Our strategic plan for 2010 to 2012 identifies the three strategic pillars to support the ongoing growth of the company. The continual focus on ‘Our People’, ‘Our Relationships’, and ‘Our Sustainability’ in a culture of continuous learning and capacity building will ensure consistent and high quality project delivery.

It is especially worth noting that “Our People” are our first priority and during the framing of the Strategic Plan, it was abundantly clear that the safety and well being of our employees and their families, was foremost in the minds of the management team.

McIlwain Civil is heavily involved in the implementation of formal skills development and skills recognition for the civil infrastructure industry at both state and federal level with representation on key industry training boards and involvement in industry focus groups and working parties. We continue to develop our community profile at a local level and are pleased to offer our support to local community groups, schools and sporting organisations.

Please take your time to browse through the information on our website particularly the project profiles which identify the diversity of our business activity.

Please contact us directly if you require any further information. As always your feedback is valued and appreciated

Kindest Regards

Keith McIlwain
